HISTORY
Created in 1851, the Wooster Brush Company became the initial paint applicator companies in the United States. Adam Foss founded the company. He moved from Pennsylvania to Ohio and began the company. He began by designing handmade bristle paint brushes. Original operations were started in a two-story building based in Wooster, Ohio. The brushes were then offered for sale door-to-door all over the state.
The company established a modern factory on Madison Avenue in 1909. The place was in fact 200-feet in length and 70-feet wide. This location was approximately 3 times larger than its preceding location. This building has become the head office location in Wooster, Ohio.
In 2010, William S. Fagert was crowned the company president. He's been working hard with The Wooster Brush Company since 1985. The business has only had 9 presidents ever since its conception.
The company has been running for 165 years. It's reached various industry milestones including:
Inventing the angle sash paint brush and the Shasta® design.
The business was the first to create the now industry standard of man made fabrics for paint roller covers.
Created the particular “Foss-set” process for cementing bristles directly into paintbrushes.
Developed the Exploded-Tip® tactic to develop soft flags on filament endings.
Wooster became the first brush company to use nylon filaments for latex goods and revolutionized painting as we know it.
These tend to be the reasons why The Wooster Brush Company has grown to be an industry standard and the preferred applicator inventor across the globe. The Wooster Brush Company has proudly engineered a number of the industry’s best products. Each year, the organization showcases awesome product designs. The manufacturer proudly creates more paint applicator materials than any of its high-quality paint assembly competition. “Made in America,” this business has passed on its practices over many generations.
Attributes of an Awesome Brush
Materials
Superb brushes are designed with synthetic filaments, long-lasting blends, China’s finest bristles, strong ferrules and comfortable, supportive handles. The Wooster Brush Company exclusively banks on the best items from around the globe to generate their products. When they can’t find what they are looking for, they have created their own materials.
Tipping
The working end is regarded as the vital part of the paintbrush. Efficiency directly correlates to how the finish, tip, or filament is engineered. We highly shield our proprietary tip practices, as also does every paintbrush company, since tipping is a tremendous part of what makes every single brand unique.
Taper
Examine the brush along the fringe to discover the taper. Find out if the tapers proceed to a point and if they do, you definitely will enjoy better control. Tapered filament brushes allow the paint to flow and enable better coverage. Pumping the paint onto the surface allows improved cutting-in techniques to be generated. Level filament paint brushes or un-tapered filament paint brushes generally cost less; however, they significantly sacrifice capacity, management and coverage.
