Using a Paint Extension Pole

Ensure the paint roller has uniformly distributed paint saturating the roller. Avoid a top-heavy extension pole by utilizing less paint. Proper technique simplifies painting. You'll get less drips and superior results if you load the paint roller lightly. Dry rolling will cause patchiness and leave an unequal finish.

Start out your paint job among the lowest point on the surface and work towards the roof. This approach makes it simpler to use the extension pole and facilitates minimum length changes. Using an extension provides you with versatility for painting with various extension options.

Just holding the pole accurately will streamline your paint job. When working a fully extended pole, carry it by the midsection extension for utmost control. Concentrate on grasping near the last section where the lower pole meets with the middle extension. This technique creates less strain on the upper extensions and supplies optimum delivery. To obtain the best control options, use both of your hands while raising and lowering the extension.

Be conscious when you are loading the paint roller that you don’t press too powerfully. Simply guide the roller diligently without pressing too much and invite the tool to do the work

During the paint loading procedure with an extension pole, grasp the final portion close to the roller and the midsection as close to the bottom section that you can reach. This method allows you to secure support on the extension while you're loading the paint.

Hold the pole vertical with maximum extension until you transfer it to your painting surface. Hold close to the center bottom portion of the pole as close as possible to the top of each portion for a balanced application. Carefully lean the pole close to the surface to initiate painting once you're standing close to the wall.

Once the roller makes contact with the wall, you can step back and alter your grip for comfortable painting. Grip the pole at the center pole and the bottom while painting for better management. Improperly using the extension will cause the pole to become too bottom or top-heavy and can lead to an irregular finish.

Securing and loosening the chuck or the collet locking mechanism is not hard. Simply hold the pole beneath the collet and lock or unlock the extension piece you want to slide. Modify the chuck till the sliding pole ceases moving. When you finally tighten the chuck, try to slide the pole even more to ascertain if it stays in place. You can destroy the pole if you over-tighten the chuck hence adjust diligently.

Keep the poles clean from paint or things that can hinder the slide. If any paint gets onto the pole, clean it off well before it dries and hardens. Use a wet rag for latex paint cleanup or a thinner rag within reach for oil-based products. Ensure the chuck and pole and collet are dry from thinner and water prior to modifying. Collapse the pole to its’ minimum self for easy storage. Standard length paint handle rollers work together with the extension poles the greatest. Don't use a long-handled roller as this will be too complex.

The extension pole is definitely a beneficial investment. You can use it for years and various projects. It is the only way to contact ceilings and vaulted surfaces effectively It will last for many years if you take proper care with cleaning and storing following use. Refrain from having to carry and climb a ladder by selecting the telescoping extension instead. It is a worthy painting tool that's worth its weight in gold.

Some folks even use their painting extension poles to dust high window ledges, window frames, ceiling fans and much more. Store your extension rod in a place that's close allowing you to have easy access for all of your painting and cleaning projects.
